How to order from The Forge at Wells

2. Post a cheque for the amount, made payable

We deliver throughout the UK and abroad. All prices include VAT.

2. Your order will be processed as soon as we receive payment. An
acknowledgement will be sent by email for those using the online shop and by
post for orders placed direct where we do not have an email address. You
can cancel the order up to any time before it is despatched  for a full refund.
This does not include "specials" or "made to measure" products. Contact
us by phone or email. After despatch our returns policy - see para 4 applies.

3. Delivery. Most standard items shown on the website are delivered within 10 days or so within the UK.  Many are delivered quicker than this. If there is
a particularly urgent need  we can normally help. Please contact us when
ordering.
Specials ie individual items made to measure may take 3 weeks.
A  signature is required on delivery.
If your house is difficult to find or identify please supply detailed directions.
Any damaged or missing package  must be noted on the carrier’s advice when
receiving goods. They must also be reported to us by phone or email within 24
hours.
If more than one item is ordered only one delivery charge is payable. This is
the largest of the delivery charges shown for the items being ordered. The
normal delivery charge is £ 19 for an item but is higher for fire backs and
some firescreens. These charges  are shown on the web site. If you need help

 4. Returns. If you are not satisfied with the goods you have purchased you can return them for a refund within 7 days of their receipt. They are to be returned at your expense though we can arrange for a carrier to provide this service. They must be received by us in as new condition and unused and in the original packaging.  This is especially important as a number of our products have to be packed very carefully to avoid damage. We will have to make a charge if the goods are returned damaged to cover any reclamation work or the cost of their replacement. If you anticipate problems please contact us. The  refund will exclude the original cost of sending the goods to you. To return goods please contact us by phone or email.
Please not that made to measure or specials cannot be returned for a refund.

5. Specifications. Most of our products are hand made and therefore dimensions will vary a little. If a dimension is particularly critical please ring and check this with us. Colour representation on our website and brochures is approximate  due to the limitations of the photographic process.

6. All prices shown on the web site include VAT. Residents of the Channel
Islands and of all countries out side the European Union can purchase  our
products free of VAT -  Value Added Tax – which is a form of sales tax . This
means they receive a discount of 15% on all prices quoted on the web site.

7. Jurisdiction. The courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction over all claims and disputes arising in relation to, out of, or in connection with this website and its use and these terms and conditions.
